Dragon Boat Festival
For more than 2,000 years, Dragon Boat racing has had a special place in Chinese culture, with 12-metre long boats battling it out to the pounding of drums. This event is to commemorate the death of a national hero, Qu Yuan who drowned himself in a protest against corrupt rulers.
Idyllic Cruises can get you up close to watch Australia's largest dragon boat competition on one of our spectacular boats in February each year.
We can even organise catering such as rice dumplings on board, while you watch more than 3000 paddles compete.
